Where To Find God
Job 23:3 Oh that I knew where I might find him that I might come even to his seat!(KJV)
"God doesn't even exist, so why bother yourself?", "God is far up in the skies/heaven, so you can't reach him".....and so on. Do those words sound familiar?
If they do then it's because you've heard it a thousand times when you were seeking for the real truth. You may have also known that God is omnipresent and you ask,"if
God is everywhere,then why can't I find him?" The real truth is:
GOD LIVES RIGHT INSIDE YOU.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?(KJV)
1 John 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.(KJV)
But if you see God as "up there", and you as "down here on earth," i.e you see God as separate from you, or you see Him as "too holy" and you as "too dirty/unholy" then that's the reason you cannot find God. Although it's true that God cannot dwell in sin, but he doesn't condemn one
who realizes that he/she has sinned and is willing to repent, instead, he lovingly reaches out to
such person, willing to forgive and forget his/her past and create a new beautiful future for
that individual. In fact, He is the one who made that person realize his/her need for a change,
because he strongly desires fellowship with the one whom He has created.
WHERE GOD IS NOT
- God is not physically present anywhere in the world, so you cannot travel on a physical journey to to look for him, No,you won't find him that way.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.(KJV)
- God does not dwell in sin
Psalms 5:4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.(KJV)
Habakkuk 1:13 a Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity.............(KJV)
- You won't even find God by practicing good acts. Isaiah 64:6 We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.

WHERE GOD IS
- God is everywhere. Yes, He is everywhere; in the house, market, school, church, and anywhere and everywhere you can think of. Jeremiah 23:24 Can any one hide from me in a secret place?Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the Lord.(NLT)
- God dwells in an environment of praise, worship, kindness, love and all the godly qualities you can find in a born again Christian.1John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.(KJV)
HOW TO FIND GOD
Now, you've seen where God's presence is and where it s not. So, how do you find him?
Proverbs 8:17 “I love all who love me. Those who search for me will surely find me. (NLT)
Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.(KJV)
- First, give your life to Christ.
If you have not given your life to Christ, or you have done so before but went back into sin, rededicate your life to him again. You have seen that God does not dwell with evil(sin).

And so, if you've been looking for God, and it seems like he is not answering you, first check your life. It may be that here is something holding you back from receiving from him, something he does not like that you possess, and he cannot stand it so
he's waiting for you to remove it before he comes into your life. It could be external sins like lies, stealing, gossiping, pornography, masturbation, or internal sins like hatred, jealousy, envy, anger,etc. If you are finding it diffcult to get rid of one or more of these things,
then turn to him for help. He will help you get rid of them and give you victory over them.

- Read the Bible.
This is the next best thing to do because:
"Looking for God? You'll definitely find Him in the pages of the Bible."
John 1:1 In the beginning Was the word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.(KJV).
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they
are they which testify of me.(KJV)
You have seen that God is the Word, and the Word is God. In it you'll see more about the being
of God, his existence, his likes and dislikes, and how you can get closer to him. You'll also find how you can live with him in heaven forever. PraiseGod!😃
If you have not been reading the Bible, or you don't have one, it will be of great benefit to you to get one and start reading it, asking for His inspiration and illumination as you read.
Infact, the Bible is the map to heaven, nothing and no one else can teach you
how to serve God more than the Bible does.
- Pray.
Prayer is the best way we can communicate with God as humans.
Matthew7:8 For everyone that asketh receiveth; andhethat seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (KJV)
Keep on praying and asking. Your prayers are never too much. Be consistent and importunate. When God sees this, He knows you are serious about finding him and he will definitely answer your prayers.
- Meditate.
The benefits of meditation cannot be overemphasized. It enables you to clearly hear from God. When trying to hear from God, you should not be in noisy places or places with distractions, as this will make it difficult to clearly hear from Him. Instead, look for a solitary place with fewer or no distractions, to enable you communicate effectively with God.
