12 Things God Cannot Do

God is the sovereign and all-powerful, who can do absolutely anything and everything.

But there are certain things that he will not and cannot do, because He is supernatural and His being is beyond the understanding of man.

Let’s see them below

God is still who He was and will continue to be who He is forever. He will not change and neither will His standards.

Psalms 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

2. God cannot lie

Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

1 Samuel 15:29 And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.

Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
